Every photo you send is checked by a real person from our team, called a screener. Photos are checked one by one, in the order they arrive (with a few exceptions, explained below). This is why your photo does not appear in the gallery right away.

## How long does it take?

- Most photos are reviewed in about 20 to 24 hours.
- It can take up to 72 hours (3 days).
- When a lot of photos are sent at the same time, it can take longer than 72 hours. This does not happen often, but it can happen.

Right after you send a photo, AeroHub Photos shows a green message called Upload Successful! It tells you that your photo is now in the queue and will be checked within 24 to 72 hours. If you see this message, everything worked and you do not need to send the photo again.

## How many photos are waiting before mine?

At the top of the [Upload page](https://photos.aerohubradar.com/upload) you can see the number of PHOTOS AHEAD IN QUEUE. This is how many photos are waiting to be checked right now. A small number means your photo will be checked soon. A big number means you will need to wait a little longer.

## Some photos are checked first

Most photos wait their turn, but some are checked first because they add something new to AeroHub Photos:

- A new aircraft that Infinite Flight just added.
- An aircraft that we do not have in our photos yet.
- A new livery (paint job), or a livery that we do not have yet.

So if you send a photo of something new, it may be checked faster.

## Why is my photo taking so long?

If your photo is waiting longer than usual, it is usually for one of these reasons:

- There are many photos in the queue. When a lot of people upload at the same time, everyone waits a bit longer.
- There are already many similar photos. If we already have many photos of the same aircraft, with the same airline and livery, your photo may take a little longer. This does not mean it is less important: every photo matters to us. We simply check photos of new aircraft and new liveries first, because they help the gallery become more complete faster. Your photo will still be checked, it just waits a bit more in the queue.
- Your photo needs a closer look. Some photos take longer to check, for example when the screener needs to confirm the registration or the livery.

Please do not send the same photo again while it is waiting. It will not make it faster, and the copy can be rejected as a similar photo.

You can send up to 10 photos every 5 hours. Note: depending on your activity on the site, this limit can go up to 20 or 30 photos every 5 hours.

We want both kinds of photos! You are always welcome to send photos of aircraft that already have many photos, and we also love photos of new aircraft and new liveries. The only difference is the waiting time: photos of things we already have a lot of usually take a little longer to be checked.

## How do I know if my photo was approved?

1. Sign in on [AeroHub Photos](https://photos.aerohubradar.com).
2. Look at the bell at the top of the page. When your photo is checked, you get a notification. It says "Your photo was Approved" or "Your photo was Rejected", with the reason.
3. You can also open your photographer profile. Approved photos appear there with your other photos, and they also appear in the gallery. Photos that are still waiting, and rejected photos, are in the tab My Uploads.
4. Approved aircraft photos can also appear on the aircraft cards of [AeroHub Radar](https://aerohubradar.com).

If your photo was rejected, read [Why was my photo rejected?](https://support.aerohubradar.com/article/why-was-my-photo-rejected) to understand why and what to do.

If your photo has been waiting for much longer than 72 hours and the queue is small, [contact us](https://aerohubradar.com/contact) and tell us which photo it is.
