Before you upload, make sure your screenshot follows the rules below. If it does not, the Upload page will show an error, or a screener may reject the photo. These rules almost never change, so you can trust this page.

## The short version

- File type: JPG only (files that end in .jpg or .jpeg).
- Shape: 16:9 (the same shape as a TV or a computer screen).
- Smallest size: 1280 × 720 pixels.
- Width saved on AeroHub Photos: up to 1920 pixels.
- File size: minimum 250 KB, maximum 10 MB.
- Best choice: the original Infinite Flight screenshot, 1920 × 1080 pixels or bigger.

## File type: JPG only

AeroHub Photos only accepts JPG files. Other types, like PNG, WEBP, HEIC or GIF, are not accepted, and the Upload page will show the message "Invalid file type. Only JPG files are allowed."

Many phones and tablets save screenshots as PNG. If your screenshot is a PNG, save a copy as JPG first:

- On Windows: open the picture in Paint, click File, then Save as, and choose JPEG picture.
- On Mac: open the picture in Preview, click File, then Export, and choose JPEG.
- On a phone or tablet: use a photo editor app that can save or export as JPG, and choose the highest quality.

Always choose the highest quality when you save as JPG. Low quality makes the picture blurry and blocky, and it can be rejected for low quality.

## Shape: 16:9

All photos on AeroHub Photos have the same shape: 16:9. This means the picture is 16 parts wide for every 9 parts high, like a TV screen. Examples of 16:9 sizes are 1280 × 720, 1920 × 1080 and 2560 × 1440.

If your screenshot has a different shape (for example from a phone, which is longer, or from an iPad, which is more square), that is fine. After you choose the file, the Upload page opens a crop window. There you move the 16:9 frame to choose which part of the picture you want to keep. Keep the whole aircraft inside the frame, and do not cut off the nose, the tail or the wings.

## Size: at least 1280 × 720 pixels

Your photo must be at least 1280 pixels wide and 720 pixels high, so it looks sharp on big screens. This counts for the part you keep after cropping, not only for the original file.

- If the screenshot is too small, the Upload page shows "This screenshot is too small" with its size, and you cannot continue. Use the original screenshot instead of a copy that was made smaller.
- If you zoom in too much in the crop window, the part you keep becomes smaller than 1280 × 720 and you cannot save the crop. Zoom out a little or choose a bigger part of the picture.
- Do not make a small picture bigger in an editor to pass this rule. It will look blurry and will be rejected.

## Width: up to 1920 pixels

You can upload bigger screenshots, for example 2560 × 1440 or 4K. AeroHub Photos makes them smaller automatically, to a maximum width of 1920 pixels, so they load fast for everyone. You do not need to resize your photo yourself.

## File size: from 250 KB to 10 MB

- Maximum: 10 MB. Bigger files show "File is too large. Maximum size is 10MB."
- Minimum: 250 KB. A very small file usually means the picture was compressed too much (for example after being sent through a chat app) and will not look sharp. Use the original screenshot.

## How to get the best screenshot

1. In Infinite Flight, set the graphics to the highest quality your device can handle.
2. Use Replay mode to pause and move the camera freely.
3. Take the screenshot on the biggest screen you have (a tablet or computer gives bigger pictures than a small phone).
4. Use the original file. Do not send it through WhatsApp, Discord or other chat apps first, because they make the picture smaller and lower quality.
5. Only make light edits, if any. Do not add your own watermark, text or border.

## What happens to my photo after I upload it?

AeroHub Photos saves your photo in JPG, makes it no wider than 1920 pixels, and adds a copyright bar with your name and its own watermark to protect it. You do not need to do any of this yourself.

If you follow these rules and the [Upload Guidelines](https://photos.aerohubradar.com/add/rules), your photo is ready to be checked by our screeners. To learn how to send it, read [How do I upload a photo?](https://support.aerohubradar.com/article/how-do-i-upload-a-photo).
