The Feeder is a feature of AeroHub Connector that turns the app into a virtual ADS-B antenna. While you fly, it sends the data of your own aircraft to AeroHub Radar in real time, and helps make the live map more complete.
The idea: real ADS-B antennas
Real aircraft send radio messages called ADS-B, with their position, altitude, speed and heading. People on the ground can receive these messages with a small antenna. Flightradar24, the biggest flight tracker in the world, gets much of its data from thousands of volunteers who share what their antennas receive. How the Feeder does the same in Infinite Flight
In Infinite Flight there are no radio waves, so AeroHub Connector does it in a digital way:
- You fly in Infinite Flight, with AeroHub Connector open and signed in on your computer.
- The Feeder reads the data of your aircraft directly from Infinite Flight, using the official Infinite Flight Connect API.
- It sends this data to AeroHub Radar in real time, like an antenna sending what it receives.
- AeroHub Radar uses the data from all pilots with the Feeder on to show flights on the map.
The Feeder only reads your own aircraft. It does not read other pilots, and it does not read anything else on your computer.
What do I need?
- AeroHub Connector installed on Windows or Mac.
- Your AeroHub Radar account connected in the app.
- Infinite Flight, with Infinite Flight Connect enabled in the Infinite Flight settings, so the app can read your aircraft.
- Your device running Infinite Flight and your computer on the same network.
You do not need any extra app. The Feeder works inside AeroHub Connector, together with Discord Rich Presence.
Is it free?
Yes. The Feeder is free for everyone, and pilots who use it get a free AeroHub Radar plan. Read Is the Feeder free, and what do I get for using it?
