What is the Flight number by AeroHub Radar?

The Flight number by AeroHub Radar is a short code that our server gives to each flight on the map. It lets us identify every aircraft and gives each flight its own link.

It is not a real flight

AeroHub Radar shows flights from Infinite Flight, a flight simulator. Every flight on the map is flown by a player in the simulator, so it is a simulated flight, not a real aircraft in the sky.

The Flight number is also not a real flight number:

  • It was created by AeroHub Radar, not by an airline.
  • It is not a ticket, a booking or a real airline service.
  • A real flight with the same code, if one exists, has nothing to do with the flight on our map.

What it looks like

A Flight number has two letters or characters and then a number, for example DL825.

  • The first part: the real IATA code of the airline. An IATA code is the short code used in real aviation for each airline. For example, DL is Delta Air Lines. We use it only to show which airline's colours the aircraft is flying with in the simulator. AeroHub Radar is not connected to these airlines, and they do not run or approve these flights.
  • The number: chosen by our server. It has nothing to do with the airline's real flights or schedules.
  • No airline code: if a flight has no airline, or the airline has no IATA code, it starts with AH (from AeroHub), for example AH614.

Two different airlines can use the same number at the same time. DL300 and AA300 are two different flights.

Where you can see it

  • At the top of the aircraft panel, next to the callsign.
  • In the More menu of the aircraft panel.
  • In the link of the flight, followed by the callsign. For example: aerohubradar.com/DL825/delta9

How long it lasts

  • The number stays with the flight until the aircraft leaves the map.
  • If the pilot lands and takes off again in the same session, the number and the link stay the same.
  • A new session in Infinite Flight is a new flight, so it gets a new number.
  • After the aircraft leaves the map, another flight can receive the same number. Your old link will not open that other flight: it shows a message that the flight was not found.
