While the Feeder is connected, AeroHub Connector records your flight on your computer. AeroHub Radar uses this recording to show your full trail, the altitude and speed graphs, and the playback of your flight, from takeoff, even if someone opens the map in the middle of your flight.
The recording is temporary. It is deleted automatically 1 hour after your flight ends, and you can delete it earlier at any time.
What is recorded
Once per second, only about your own aircraft:
- Time and position (latitude and longitude).
- Altitude and height above the ground.
- Ground speed, vertical speed and indicated airspeed.
- Heading.
- Whether the aircraft is on the ground.
Nothing else is recorded: no other pilots, no files from your computer, no passwords.
Where it is kept
On your own computer, in the AeroHub Connector folder. Each flight has its own file, so two flights never get mixed.
A flight uses very little space, about 5 KB per minute (around 3 MB for a 10-hour flight).
If the connection drops
If your phone turns off, the battery runs out, the internet drops, or the app closes or updates, nothing is lost. When the Feeder connects again to the same flight, the recording continues in the same file, from where it stopped.
A new flight (for example, you leave the flight and start another one somewhere else) always starts a new recording.
When a flight ends
A flight ends when:
- You leave the flight in Infinite Flight.
- You start another flight.
- The Feeder receives nothing from that flight for 30 minutes.
When it is deleted
- **Automatically:** 1 hour after the flight ends. You do not need to do anything.
- **Whenever you want:** open the **Storage** page in AeroHub Connector and click **Delete now** on a flight, or **Delete all**.
The 1 hour is the longest a flight can stay. You can always delete it sooner, but it never stays longer.
If you delete the flight that is being recorded right now, the recording starts again from that moment. The trail and graphs on the map then also start from that moment.
The Storage page
In AeroHub Connector, click the **Storage** icon (below Feeder) to see:
- How much space your recorded flights use in total.
- Each flight: route, aircraft and livery, when it started, how long it lasted, how many points it has, and its size.
- The state of each flight:
- **Recording:** the Feeder is recording it now.
- **Paused:** the Feeder disconnected, but the flight can still continue if you come back to it.
- **Deleted automatically in…:** the flight has ended and will be deleted at that time.
