AeroHub Connector works on Windows and on Mac. Below you will find the steps for each one. You can also follow the installation tutorial on the AeroHub Connector website.
Install on Windows
Works on Windows 10 and 11. It installs only for your user, so it does not ask for administrator access.
- On the AeroHub Connector website, choose Download and then Download for Windows. You get the file AeroHub-Connector-Setup.exe.
- Open the file.
- If Windows shows a blue screen saying "Windows protected your PC", choose More info and then Run anyway. You only have to do this once (read below why it appears).
- Follow the setup screens: choose your language, accept the terms, choose your options (for example a desktop shortcut, or starting with Windows) and install.
- AeroHub Connector opens by itself when the installation is done.
Install on Mac
Works on macOS 10.15 or later, on Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2 and newer) and on Intel Macs.
- On the AeroHub Connector website, choose Download and then Download for Mac.
- Open the file AeroHub-Connector-Mac.dmg and drag AeroHub Connector into the Applications folder.
- Open AeroHub Connector from Applications. macOS may say that it cannot check the app. Choose Done (not Move to Bin).
- Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security and choose Open Anyway.
- Enter your Mac password and choose Open. You only have to do this once.
- If macOS says the app "is damaged", open the Terminal app, paste this line, press Return, and open AeroHub Connector again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/AeroHub Connector.app"This line only removes the "downloaded from the internet" label that macOS puts on the app. It does not change the app.
There is also a step-by-step guide for Mac in the installation tutorial.
Why do I see these warnings?
We want to be honest with you. Windows and macOS show these warnings for apps that are not yet "signed" with a developer certificate from Microsoft or Apple. In these first versions, AeroHub Connector does not have these certificates yet (for example, an active Apple developer account). That is the only reason for the warnings.
The warnings do not mean that something is wrong with the app. They are the normal way Windows and macOS protect your computer from apps they do not know yet. You simply confirm that you trust the app, and you only do it once.
If you want to learn more, here is how Microsoft and Apple explain it:
- Windows: Microsoft Defender SmartScreen overview (the blue "Windows protected your PC" screen).
- Mac: Safely open apps on your Mac (why macOS asks before opening a new app, and how Open Anyway works).
- Mac: Signing Mac Software with Developer ID (the Apple developer certificate that makes these warnings disappear).
AeroHub Connector is 100% safe:
- It only does what it says: it shows your Infinite Flight flight on your Discord profile.
- You never type your password in the app. You sign in on the AeroHub Radar website.
- Updates are checked with a digital signature before they are installed.
- Always download it from the official website, connector.aerohubradar.com, and nowhere else.
This is how it works today. We plan to add the developer certificates in the future, and then these warnings will no longer appear.
After installing
