AeroHub Connector is a desktop app for Windows and Mac made for Infinite Flight pilots. It runs quietly on your computer while you fly and does two things: it shows your flight on your Discord profile, and it can turn your computer into a virtual ADS-B antenna that feeds AeroHub Radar.
1. Your flight on Discord (Discord Rich Presence)
When you fly in Infinite Flight, AeroHub Connector shows your flight live on your Discord profile, so your friends can see that you are flying and follow along. Discord calls this "Rich Presence".
- Your profile shows your flight while you are in the air.
- When you stop flying, the flight disappears from your profile automatically.
- A small mini window can also show your flight on top of other windows.
This feature needs an AeroHub Connector licence, linked to your AeroHub Radar account.
2. The Feeder: a virtual ADS-B antenna
To understand the Feeder, it helps to know how real flight tracking works.
Real aircraft carry a transponder that sends out radio messages called ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast). Every second, these messages say where the aircraft is, how high it is, how fast it is going and which way it is heading. Anyone with a small ADS-B antenna and receiver on the ground can pick up these messages.
Flightradar24, the biggest flight tracking service in the world, works thanks to this: thousands of volunteers around the world have an ADS-B antenna at home and share the data they receive with Flightradar24. All this data together creates the live map that millions of people use. In return, people who share their data get a free premium account. The Feeder brings this same idea to Infinite Flight. It turns AeroHub Connector into a virtual ADS-B antenna:
- It reads the data of your own aircraft in Infinite Flight, using the official Infinite Flight Connect API.
- It sends this data to AeroHub Radar in real time.
- Just like a real antenna feeds a flight tracking service, every pilot with the Feeder on helps feed AeroHub Radar with flight data.
