AeroHub Connector can update itself, so you always have the newest version with the latest improvements and fixes. You do not need to download it again from the website.
Automatic updates (recommended)
Automatic updates are turned on when you install the app. This is how they work:
- While AeroHub Connector is open, it checks for a new version as soon as it opens, and then every 30 minutes.
- When a new version is out, the app downloads it in the background.
- The app closes for a moment, installs the new version and opens again by itself.
- You see the screen "Update complete!" with the new version number.
You can check this option in the app: open Settings, and under Updates make sure "Install updates automatically" is turned on.
Update by hand
If you turned automatic updates off, or you want to check right now:
- Open AeroHub Connector.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Updates, click "Check for updates".
- If a new version is available, you see "Update available", the download size and the list of what is new. Click Update.
- Keep the app open while it says "Updating AeroHub Connector". It closes, installs the update and opens again.
- When you see "Update complete!", you are done.
If you see "You're up to date", you already have the latest version. Your current version is also shown in Settings, under Updates.
Is it safe?
Yes. The app only downloads updates from AeroHub, and it checks the digital signature of every update before installing it. If the signature is not correct, the update is not installed. Your settings are kept after every update.
Something went wrong
- "Couldn't check for updates": check your internet connection and click "Try again".
- The update does not start: close AeroHub Connector completely and open it again, then use "Check for updates".
- Still not working: you can always download the newest version from the AeroHub Connector website and install it over the old one. Your account and settings stay the same.
